The CANVAS consortium partner OTH organizes a workshop with focus on the social sphere ‘Health’. The workshop on ‘Ethics and Cybersecurity in Healthcare’ takes places in Regensburg (Germany) on the 24th and 25th of April 2018.

Based on the results of the work packages 1-3 (which provide summaries of existing knowledge about cybersecurity and ethics), the workshop will discuss the challenges and consequences resulting from the use of technologies in healthcare.

The aim of the workshop is a broad exchange of knowledge and opinions regarding cybersecurity and health in healthcare. Therefore, stakeholders, practitioners and experts from various disciplines and professions will be brought together to debate different perspectives on concrete applications of technology in health regarding:

  • mHealth
  • Care Technology and assistive systems suitable for the elderly
  • Digital Implants
  • Electronic Health record (EHR) & Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Big Data in Healthcare
  • Critical Infrastructure

The presentations and discussions will take place in German. Participation is free of charge.

It is planned to create proceeding papers based on the workshop, which will be part of the CANVAS dissemination and contribute a broader scientific discussion about cybersecurity and ethics in healthcare.
